Beatríz (Gloria Gómez) receives an unexpected letter from “Search for the Truth”, a commission in charge of finding the truth in the country’s armed conflict and providing reparations to the victims of the paramilitary attack that left her husband and son missing. Now Beatriz, after repressing this terrible event, must travel back to Campoalegre, Huila, unaware that she will have to come face to face with one of her perpetrators to find out what really happened to her family and to clarify the events that changed the course of her life.

Sergio Romero Ocampo & Juan Blanquicet

Sergio Romero Ocampo is Professional in Film and Television with experience in Production, Directing and Screenwriting. He has been Production Coordinator of the film “Puentes en el Mar” (2023) winner of the FDC to Feature Film and IBERMEDIA, the Interactive Series “El Cubo – Historias Tridimensionales” (2022) for RTVC, winner of the India Catalina Award. Also in international productions such as “The Big Cigar” (2023) fiction series about the Black Panther Movement in the US produced by Jaguar Bite for Apple TV + and Warner Bros Discovery, and Jenni (2024) feature film about singer Jenni Rivera produced by Jaguar Bite for Mucho Más Media. He has developed projects from Movere Audiovisual as “Nos Vemos en 16:9”, winner of the Idartes Award in 2021, the EsCulturalLocal Award in 2022, and as Director and Screenwriter has made several projects such as La Patasola (2021), Una Noche (2022) and Purgatorio (2023) all winners of incentives and funds for its realization.

 

Juan Blanquicet began his artistic process with the theater group La Sombra de las Máscaras, participating in productions made thanks to calls that they won as a group. He completed external theater training processes with stage teachers such as Marco Antonio Perez or Yohan Lopez, performing in theaters such as the Teatro Experimental de Fontibón and the Teatro La Macarena. In 2017 he studied Sound Production for Audiovisuals at UNITEC. which led him to develop his professional practices in the film “Somos Ecos”, a film released in 2023 in movie theaters. In 2021, he made the Documentary “Encuentros”, which is currently in International Festivals. Finally, in 2022 he produced the short film PURGATORIO, which is the winner of the FDC fund.
