DIRECTOR’S BIO 


Carlos Ospina, Colombian director, writer and producer, with studies in audiovisual production. He has more than 10 years of experience in the film industry. He has developed his career around his interest in Latin music, which has led him to direct music videos for renowned orchestras in Colombia, Puerto Rico, Cuba and the United States. He has made short films that reflect his sense of belonging to Santiago de Cali, his hometown. His most recent work, the short film ‘La Sombra de Tu Sonrisa’, experiments with non-linear narrative, thus playing with the wishes of the viewer, a work selected by the 2021 Berlin Film Festival. Currently, he is promoting his opera prima, the documentary bioepic ¡Viva Edy! by maestro Edy Martínez, legendary ambassador of Latin music.
