| SYNOPSIS |
Julian committed a murder as a child, but no one wanted to recognize it. It was a mechanical response, out of fear, practically in self-defense, he tells himself. Years later, as an adult, in the company of his friends, he enjoys the privileges of a prestigious family while watching his world slowly crumble in an atmosphere of widespread violence. His family’s name no longer seems to mean anything; he and his history are now seen as little more than meaningless noise, decay. Julian decides to solve his personal problems in the same way that the society around him resolves social conflict: with bullets. |

Luis Alberto was born in Medellin. He wanted to be a philosopher, but fascinated by cinema and television he left this career. He went to New York, to learn about cinema technics. He worked through all the areas before directing. He worked, as a documentary filmmaker, as a scriptwriter, as an editor of Victor’s Gaviria movies “Rodrigo D” selected in Cannes festival in 1990, he also worked as a first director assistant. After directing documentaries, he worked in commercial television, and TV series. He is a well known director today and has won several TV prizes. His two first features films which had both a great success in theater and through the press, “the first night” in 2003 and “La passion de Gabriel” in 2009, won several prizes in international festival. As a TV director hw has been awarded with several “India Catalinas”. “Amigo de Nadie” is his third movie. |
