SYNOPSIS

Manuela is sixteen year old girl who never had to worry about anything beyond her social bubble. After her beloved father’s unexpected death, in the family’s country house in Honda, Tolima, she will have to face the dark secrets of her family. The young girl will find herself alone for the first time in her life; between a broken family and a town that is falling apart by the hands of the conflict that has affected the country for many years.

DIRECTOR’S BIO 


Inti Jacanamijoy (Bogotá, Colombia, 1996) is a filmmaker, graduated from the ESEC Film School in Paris. He co-directed Dominique (2017) with Ruben Devoille, an official selection of the Concours Clouzot, organized by La Cinemathèque Française. He directed Pidbang (2017), his degree work, written by Amaury Arseguet, an official selection of the Colombian International Film Festival NYC 2018 and the Independent International Film Fair of Bogotá 2018. He has collaborated with young directors from different nationalities and is an active member of the association “El Perro que ladra”, which organizes the Colombian Film Festival in Paris. He currently lives in Colombia, where he founded the production company La Cueva Films. Independent production company who produced the short-film Lupita y las Sirenas (2019) by Tomás Pinzón and the short-film La Manuela (2019). He is developing his first feature film, El Silencio de la Montaña.
