DIRECTOR’S BIO 


Ciro Guerra was born in Rio de Oro, Cesar in 1981, he studied film and television at the National University of Colombia. After directing 4 short films: Silence(1998) and Soul (2000), the documentary Sinister Documentary: Jairo Pinilla, Colombian filmmaker (1999) and the animated short film Intento (2001), with which he has obtained numerous awards In festivals, he wrote and directed The wandering shadows  his opera prima, which was selected in more than 60 Film Festivals around the world. Her third feature film The embrace of the serpent  (2015) had its world premiere at the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival where it was cataloged by the international press, as one of the 10 best films of that edition of the festival and subsequently, it was nominated in the category for Best Foreign Film at the Oscars, among other recognitions.
