SYNOPSIS An empty canoe arrives unexpectedly at a small community located in Paradise, a neighborhood of Bogota, Colombia. Its inhabitants are displaced peasants from different areas of the country, they choose not to forget their origins by transforming the garbage in the city into objects that will remind them of where they came from.

DIRECTOR’S BIO 


Antonio José Mariño Lizarazo: Bogotá, Colombia. 1996. Student of Film and Television at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He has been interested in film and photography since he was thirteen years old,. He has worked in diverse student films, principally in the camera crew. In 2015, he and Jeferson Romero, a colleague of the same university, filmed the documentary short film “A canoe without river”.
Jeferson Sneider Romero Ruiz: Bogotá, Colombia. 1994. Student of Film and Television at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He has been interested in photography and documentary since he was a child.. he is encouraging the community cinema at Ciudad Bolívar neighborhood, in Bogotá D.C., with the “Festival Internacional de Cine y Video Alternativo Ojo al Sancocho”. In 2015, he joins with Antonio Mariño to direct the documentary short film: “A Canoe Without River”.
