SYNOPSIS After 10 years in exile, María Pizarro realizes no matter how far she runs she can ́t escape her father’s past. Twenty years later she goes back to Colombia with the hopes of reconstructing her father’s memory. Carlos Pizarro was an iconic figure of his time, he was the first guerrilla commander in Latin American history to sign the peace with his government. After 45 days of peace, he was mysteriously murdered. Through her personal journey she tries to understand the events that led him to his death.

Simón Hernández. Director, producer and editor, with extensive work experience specialized in documentary filmmaking. I have worked with BBC, ARTE, CNN, TVE, Caracol and Señal Colombia.I’ve won India Catalina award 2016 , Premios TAL Americalatina 2016 and Huelva Film Festival with PIZARRO. Best editing in Documenta Madrid 2011 with the short film Drassanes Spirits.
