I only knew about Ana Rosa, my paternal grandmother, that she was a pianist and that she was
lobotomized in the 1950s. Of her, I only have a photo of an identity card.
I wanted to know who Ana Rosa was and understand why they did that brutal act to her.
Why most lobotomies in the world were done on us women.
Ana Rosa is a journey into the history of psychiatry.
